The Space Between - Denizens of the Deep

This series sits within a larger body of work I call The Space Between. I see it as a world that exists in the space between fantasy and reality. It's a dark place. Especially here. These are some of its freaks, hiding in the shadows.

Everything within these images was captured in camera using a combination of flash, long exposure photography, light painting and very patient, adventurous and still models. Every shot required meticulous preparation and presented individual challenges to overcome. Exposures lasted up to five minutes.
